How does the mobile.de API connection work?
Simply enter your mobile.de API credentials in the WordPress admin area. BasisCars automatically synchronises your vehicle inventory in the background – without ugly iFrames or double data entry.
What about GDPR and the vehicle images?
You decide where the images live. Out of the box they are loaded straight from mobile.de, which saves disk space but passes your visitors' IP addresses to mobile.de. Switch to “media library download” under Inventory → mobile.de → Media & images and every image sits on your own server, with nothing going to third parties. Vehicle data and equipment lists are always stored in your own database, and BasisCars never loads external scripts.
Does BasisCars work with my WordPress Theme & Page Builders?
Seamlessly! BasisCars uses native WordPress Custom Post Types, shortcodes, and widgets. It is 100% compatible with Elementor, Gutenberg, Divi, and any standard theme.
How quickly are price changes & sold cars updated?

Do I need mobile.de API access, and what does it cost?
Yes. BasisCars fetches the vehicles through mobile.de's official interface. You create the credentials yourself in the mobile.de dealer area under Schnittstellen; a dealer account is required. Is the plugin available for systems other than WordPress?
No, BasisCars is WordPress only. It uses WordPress's own building blocks, custom post types, shortcodes and blocks, and works with any theme as well as with Elementor, Divi and Gutenberg. You need your own WordPress installation, version 5.8 or newer, with PHP 7.4 or newer.
Can I try BasisCars before buying?
There is no free version or demo installation. You can, however, see it on real websites: the references show three dealerships whose vehicle search runs live on BasisCars. After purchase you have a 14-day money-back guarantee in case the plugin does not fit your theme or your expectations.
Is the vehicle search multilingual?
No, the plugin outputs all its texts in German, and the admin screens are German too. Every visible text can be changed under Eigene Labels in the admin area, though, which also allows translating it into another language.
Does BasisCars work with AutoScout24 or other marketplaces?
No. Only the mobile.de interface is connected. Vehicles from other sources are uploaded via CSV import, which is included in all plans and currently in beta.
